Description:
CNH is looking for a hands-on, builder-first VP of Engineering who can scale the platform that powers diagnostics, telemedicine, real-time adjudication, and insurer workflows. You will work closely with the CTO and product leadership to own the architecture, execution, engineering culture, and multi-product scaling. This role is ideal for someone who has built systems end-to-end, worked across backend + data + frontend + mobile, and can lead an 01 engineering org in a fast-moving healthcare-tech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering across backend, data/AI/ML, web, and mobile(Java/Spring Boot, Python, React, React Native, iOS/Android).
- Drive architecture for high-throughput ingestion, AI/ML pipelines, real-time adjudication engines, and scalable microservices.
- Build and mentor a high-performance engineering team; hire early/founding engineers across functions.
- Work closely with product and business teams to convert healthcare workflows into scalable technology systems.
- Set up robust engineering processes: CI/CD, testing frameworks, cloud cost management, release management, and observability.
- Own uptime, reliability, and SLAs for insurer and corporate clients.
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of strong hands-on engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in Java + Spring Boot microservices and database design for scale.
- Experience with Python-based ML/AI service integration.
- Exposure to React (web) and React Native/iOS/Android(mobile ecosystem understanding).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems- Redis, Kafka, queues, caching, workflows.
- Hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and cloud infra.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams, especially in startup 01 or high-growth environments.
- Excellent communication; able to partner with product, ops, and CX stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
- Early/founding engineer experience in a startup or tech-led healthcare company.
- Strong cloud fundamentals (AWS/GCP) with a cost-efficient architecture mindset.
- Ability to think product-first with a keen eye for UX, design, and user workflows.
- Experience building workflow engines, claims/adjudication systems, or healthcare data systems.
