VP Settlement- Trade life cycle, Securities Settlements with Global Bank

Role: VP (VP to VP) must be in VP role for 5 years or more

Key Skills & Competencies:

A. Domain / Functional Skills:

1. Settlement Operations Expertise

- End-to-end understanding of trade life cycle ("pre-matching", matching, settlement, fails, exceptions).

- Experience handling multi-market / cross-border settlements.

- Strong grasp of settlement systems (e.g., SWIFT, Omgeo CTM, local clearing systems).

- Knowledge of corporate actions, buy-ins, and claims handling.

2. Financial Instruments Knowledge

- Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and ETFs.

- Understanding of trade confirmations, cash & stock reconciliation, and custody processes.

3. Regulatory & Risk Awareness

- Familiarity with market regulations (e.g., T+1, CSDR, SEBI norms, etc.).

- Risk identification and mitigation during settlement.

- Exposure to control and audit frameworks.

4. Data & Analytical Skills

- Ability to perform root cause analysis for settlement fails.

- Proficiency with Excel, MIS reporting, and dashboards.

- Analytical mindset to manage exceptions, trade breaks, and reconciliations.

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Experience interacting with Front Office, Middle Office, Custodians, and Brokers.

- Ability to handle client escalations and deliverables under time pressure
