The Vice President, Service Line - Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is a senior leader responsible for the strategic oversight, performance management, and growth of assigned RCM service lines, such as medical coding, billing, collections, denials management, or patient access. This role drives operational excellence, ensures service quality, and leads initiatives to improve client satisfaction, profitability, and market competitiveness.
18+ years of progressive leadership experience in the RCM or healthcare BPO industry
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned RCM service lines in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Identify and lead initiatives to expand service offerings, improve client value, and increase market share.
- Collaborate with sales, client success, and product teams to support new business development and service innovation.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across one or more RCM verticals (e.g., coding, billing, AR follow-up, payer relations).
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Days in AR, Denial Rate, Clean Claim Rate, and Cash Collections.
- Implement process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma preferred).
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs), quality metrics, and client satisfaction scores are consistently met or exceeded.
- Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic accounts and resolve escalated client issues as needed.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control initiatives for assigned service lines.
- Monitor profitability, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Support pricing models, ROI analyses, and business case development for new initiatives.
People Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of AVPs, directors, managers, and support staff.
- Foster a results-driven, accountable, and collaborative work culture.
- Align talent development efforts with business goals, including succession planning and workforce optimization.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, OIG guidelines) and client contract terms.
- Partner with compliance and QA teams to address audit findings and implement corrective action plans.
- Promote data security and compliance best practices across all teams
