About the Role:
- We are hiring a VP / Sr. VP Manufacturing Operations for one of the largest apparel manufacturing groups in Asia. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving large-scale manufacturing excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
- The role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in woven garment manufacturing and experience managing high-capacity production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations across large-scale facilities with a capacity of ~6000 machines (as PCH Profit Centre Head).
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization, productivity improvement, and cost efficiency initiatives.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational growth and profitability goals.
- Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
- Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and automation.
- Ensure adherence to global quality standards, compliance norms, and sustainability benchmarks.
- Manage P&L responsibilities for the manufacturing unit, ensuring financial performance targets are achieved.
- Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sourcing, merchandising, quality, and supply chain.
- Strengthen vendor ecosystems and ensure seamless raw material availability.
Required Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience (24+ years) in apparel manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on woven garments (mandatory).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale manufacturing setups (5000+ machines preferred).
- Experience working as a Profit Centre Head (PCH) with full ownership of operations and financial performance.
- Strong exposure to operational excellence frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, etc.).
- Deep understanding of garment production processes, industrial engineering, and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive transformation, scale operations, and deliver under high-growth environments.
Education:
UG: Any Graduate (Textile / Engineering background preferred)
