Role Overview:
The organization is seeking a Vice President / Senior Vice President Investment Banking to lead and scale its investment banking practice across Industrial, Consumer, Sustainability, BFSI, and Healthcare & Pharma sectors.
Based in Mumbai (BKC), the role involves origination, execution, and leadership of complex transactions, including M&A, capital raising, structured finance, and strategic advisory assignments. The incumbent will work closely with promoters, institutional investors, PE/VC funds, lenders, and strategic partners to deliver high-impact advisory outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Execution & Transaction Leadership:
- Lead end-to-end execution of M&A, capital raising, and structured finance transactions across covered sectors.
- Drive transaction structuring, valuation, financial modelling, and negotiation strategy.
- Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, commercial, and regulatory aspects.
- Ensure timely closure of transactions while managing execution risks and stakeholder expectations.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and manage long-term relationships with promoters, CXOs, institutional investors, PE/VC funds, lenders, and strategic partners.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on strategic, financial, and growth-related decisions.
- Lead client engagements, investor interactions, and deal negotiations.
Business Development & Origination:
- Originate new mandates across focus sectors through proactive client engagement and market outreach.
- Lead pitch preparation, deal proposals, and investor presentations.
- Strengthen market positioning and visibility across industrial, consumer, BFSI, sustainability, and healthcare sectors.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment bankers and sector specialists.
- Drive execution excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the team.
- Collaborate internally across sector, regulatory, and strategy teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
Strategic Advisory:
- Provide strategic advice on growth, capital structuring, portfolio optimization, and risk management.
- Offer sector-led insights and market perspectives to guide client decision-making.
- Track market trends, regulatory developments, and investor sentiment across covered sectors.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience in investment banking, financial advisory, or PE/VC advisory.
- Strong transaction experience across M&A, capital raising, and structured finance.
- Proven exposure to one or more focus sectors: Industrial, Consumer, Sustainability, BFSI, Healthcare/Pharma.
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior client relationships and institutional investors.
Skills:
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and transaction structuring expertise.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex mandates simultaneously.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.
