Job Description - VP / SVP Generative AI (GenAI)

Role Purpose

Lead the strategy, development, and enterprise adoption of Generative AI across the NBFC to drive productivity, risk intelligence, customer experience, and digital lending innovation. This role will build and scale GenAI platforms and use-cases aligned to regulated financial services.

Key Responsibilities

GenAI Strategy & Transformation

- Define and execute enterprise GenAI roadmap aligned to business strategy

- Identify high-impact use cases across lending, collections, risk, operations, and customer service

- Drive AI-led automation and productivity gains across functions

Platform & Solution Development

- Build and scale GenAI platforms (LLMs, RAG, copilots, agents)

- Lead AI solutions for underwriting, document intelligence, KYC, and customer interaction

- Ensure scalability, security, explainability, and model governance

Business Integration

- Partner with Credit, Risk, Ops, Compliance, and Product teams

- Embed AI into lending lifecycle decisioning

- Enable AI-assisted employee and customer journeys

Governance & Risk

- Establish AI governance aligned with RBI and data privacy regulations

- Ensure responsible AI, bias monitoring, auditability, and compliance

- Define model validation and lifecycle standards

Team & Capability Building

- Build and lead GenAI, data science, and AI engineering teams

- Manage AI vendors, hyperscaler partnerships, and ecosystems

- Drive enterprise AI adoption and capability building

Qualifications & Experience

- 12-18+ years in AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics

- 5+ years leading AI/ML or GenAI programs/platforms

- Strong experience in Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, NLP, copilots, agents)

- BFSI / fintech / lending domain exposure preferred

- Experience with cloud AI stacks (Azure, AWS, GCP) and MLOps

- Understanding of AI governance and regulated environments
