Looking for VP/SVP - Credit Administration (CAD) for Wholesale Banking with MNC Bank in Mumbai location.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an accomplished senior operations leader to head the Credit & Lending / Transaction Services function in India for a leading multinational bank.

The role will have end-to-end responsibility for operational delivery across the corporate and institutional lending lifecycle, covering pre-approval support, financial spreading, post-approval processes, facility management, loan booking and servicing, drawdowns, rollovers, documentation, collateral management, loan agency, corporate trust and related portfolio services.

The incumbent will lead large teams, drive operational excellence, strengthen governance and controls, and partner closely with Business, Credit, Risk, Technology and Operations stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the India Credit & Lending / Transaction Services operations, ensuring high-quality and timely service delivery.

- Oversee activities across the lending lifecycle, including pre-approval, financial spreading, post-approval, facility management, loan booking and servicing, drawdowns and rollovers.

- Provide oversight of loan documentation, collateral management, loan agency and related servicing activities.

- Manage operations supporting Corporate Trust, including bonds, escrow and associated services.

- Drive strong operational governance through SLAs, KPIs, KRIs, quality, productivity and service metrics.

- Ensure robust risk and control frameworks, regulatory compliance, audit readiness and remediation of operational issues.

- Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across Business, Credit, Risk, Technology and Operations.

- Own capacity and resource planning, volumes, productivity, financial management and cost-efficiency initiatives.

- Drive transformation, digitisation, automation and process simplification across lending operations.

- Identify opportunities for location and resource optimisation while maintaining service quality and operational resilience.

- Lead continuous-improvement initiatives focused on client experience, turnaround time, production quality and operational risk reduction.

- Develop a strong leadership pipeline and build a high-performing, scalable operations organisation.

Candidate Profile:

- Significant experience in Corporate / Wholesale Banking Operations, with strong exposure to Credit & Lending Operations.

- Deep understanding of the end-to-end corporate lending lifecycle, preferably within a large bank or global financial institution.

- Strong experience across areas such as loan operations, facility management, loan servicing, documentation, collateral and agency services.

- Proven experience managing large-scale operations teams and complex delivery environments.

- Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, governance, regulatory requirements and audit frameworks.

- Demonstrated experience in transformation, process optimisation, digitisation and change management.

- Strong commercial orientation with exposure to budgeting, workforce planning, productivity and cost management.

- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

- Comfortable operating in a complex, highly regulated and globally matrixed banking environment.
