Vice President/Senior Vice President - Business Governance

1. Strategic Business Governance

- Establish and lead the business governance framework across verticals and enabling functions.

- Partner with business leaders to embed governance into strategic planning, execution, and performance monitoring.

- Drive alignment between business objectives and governance practices to ensure sustainable growth.

2. Program & Initiative Oversight

- Govern key business programs, transformation initiatives, and cross-functional projects.

- Define and monitor KPIs, milestones, and risk indicators for strategic initiatives.

- Ensure timely decision-making through structured governance forums and steering committees.

3. Policy & Process Governance

- Oversee the development, review, and adherence to business policies, SOPs, and operating models.

- Ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement in business processes.

- Facilitate internal audits, management reviews, and process health checks.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

- Act as a central point of coordination between business units, enabling functions, and leadership.

- Prepare and present governance dashboards, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and accountability across teams.

5. Regulatory Engagement & Representation

- Represent the business in front of RBI and other regulatory bodies.

- Prepare, review, and validate RBI submissions from a business perspective.

- Interpret RBI guidelines and translate them into actionable business strategies.

6. Documentation & Audit Readiness

- Maintain audit-ready documentation and dashboards for RBI inspections.

- Coordinate cross-functional responses to regulatory queries and inspections

Work Experience:

- 15+ years into retail lending across distribution, product, credit, policy, process governance, etc.

- Experience of managing internal and external audits including RBI
