Role Overview:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven professional to lead and expand the Employee Benefits (EB) vertical across India. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in insurance broking, a strong track record in corporate/B2B sales, and the ability to manage high-value client relationships.
-This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive strategic business growth, build and mentor regional teams, and make a significant impact in a fast-evolving employee benefits landscape.
- Depending on experience, the position may be structured as a team leader or senior individual contributor role, with strong collaboration across sales, operations, and product functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth and market share in the Employee Benefits vertical, with a focus on corporate clients across industries.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, industry networking, referrals, and partnerships.
- Own the full sales lifecycle-from lead generation and pitching to closure and onboarding.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasting using CRM tools.
-Build and nurture long-term relationships with HR heads, CXOs, procurement teams, and decision-makers of mid-sized to large corporates.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on EB products such as Group Health Insurance (GHI), Group Personal Accident (GPA), Group Term Life (GTL), Wellness Programs, and other related services.
- Ensure high client retention through proactive engagement, timely renewals, and value-added services.
- Recruit, train, and mentor regional sales teams to achieve their targets and grow in their roles.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including underwriting, claims, operations, wellness, and technology teams to ensure smooth onboarding, delivery, and servicing of EB products.
- Align with senior leadership to set regional sales strategies and go-to-market plans.
-Stay updated on EB product innovations, pricing trends, competition, and regulatory changes (IRDAI, labor laws, etc.).
- Provide feedback to product and underwriting teams to improve offerings and stay ahead of market demands.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and networking events.
Requirements:
- Experience: 8-10years of experience in B2B/corporate sales, preferably in Employee Benefits, insurance broking, or group insurance sales.
- Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of EB products (GHI, GPA, GTL, wellness programs), underwriting practices, and insurance broking models.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive -environment.
