Role Overview:
As the Vice President of Sales, you will be at the forefront of driving our ambitious growth agenda, shaping the sales strategy, and expanding our market footprint, with a significant focus on penetrating and nurturing rural distribution channels.
This pivotal role involves leading and inspiring a high-performing sales organization, developing robust revenue planning models, and executing strategic initiatives that translate into tangible business outcomes.
You will collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless market entry and sustained growth, directly impacting our market share, customer acquisition, and overall profitability. Your leadership will be instrumental in defining our sales trajectory and achieving our long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and revenue plans to achieve aggressive growth targets, with a particular emphasis on expanding reach within rural markets for sustained business expansion.
- Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer engagement to maximize individual and collective potential.
- Establish, optimize, and manage robust rural distribution networks, identifying new partners and channels to enhance market penetration and product accessibility for broader customer reach.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive landscaping, and sales forecasting to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks, informing strategic decisions and ensuring proactive market responsiveness.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and distributors, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities to secure long-term partnerships.
- Drive the adoption of sales technologies and best practices, continuously refining sales processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall sales performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and finance teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives, ensuring a cohesive go-to-market strategy and optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making and strategic adjustments.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sales leadership and revenue planning, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets in dynamic markets.
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize, build, and scale rural distribution networks, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within these segments.
- Strong leadership acumen with the capacity to inspire, develop, and manage high-performing sales teams across diverse geographies.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills for accurate sales forecasting, budget management, and performance analysis.
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, ideally within sectors involving extensive rural market engagement.
- A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from a premier institution is highly preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in business strategy and management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a commitment to working on-site from our Noida office to foster strong team collaboration and market proximity.
