Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Team Size: 100+ (Direct & Indirect Reports)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Vice President - Sales & Strategy with a proven track record in the FMCG industry to lead national sales operations, drive P&L performance, and shape growth strategies from our corporate office in Jaipur. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of Indian consumer markets, robust leadership capabilities, and expertise in channel expansion, GTM execution, and strategic business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Business Growth

- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue and profitability targets.

- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and channels for growth across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce.

- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to align business plans and operational execution.

Sales & Distribution Management

- Lead and manage the pan-India sales team to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.

- Build and scale distribution networks, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

- Strengthen retail and wholesale channel partnerships with data-driven insights.

P&L Ownership:

- Full responsibility of revenue, operating costs, and bottom-line performance.

- Regularly monitor KPIs and sales metrics to ensure commercial efficiency and ROI.

- Drive trade marketing and sales promotions with clear performance outcomes.

Team Leadership & Culture

- Coach and mentor regional and zonal sales leaders for high performance.

- Build a high-energy, target-driven, and value-led sales culture.

- Ensure capability building through structured training and performance feedback.

Key Requirements:

- Experience: 15-20 years of strong FMCG sales and strategic leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a national or zonal head role.

- Industry Preference: Core FMCG only (Foods, Beverages, Personal Care, Household Care, etc.)

- Education: MBA from Tier 1/2 institute preferred.

- TTrack Record: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, expanding distribution, and managing large sales teams.

- Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation, analytical mindset, cross-functional collaboration, digital sales adaptation.
