POSITION: Vice President Sales & Marketing

REPORTING TO: Managing Director / CEO

LOCATION: Punjab

EDUCATION: MBA from a premier institution preferred.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Vice President Sales & Marketing will be responsible for designing and executing the companys growth agenda across domestic markets, international markets, new customer segments, emerging applications, distribution channels, and demand-generation platforms. The mandate extends significantly beyond traditional sales leadership. The VP Sales & Marketing will act as the principal commercial leader responsible for accelerating revenue growth, strengthening market presence, building scalable channels, enhancing customer engagement, and helping the organisation transition from a manufacturing-led business to a market-led enterprise. The successful candidate will bring modern sales and marketing practices, customer-centric thinking, channel development expertise, brand-building capabilities, and commercial leadership to create sustainable competitive advantage and accelerate revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales Strategy and Business Expansion:

- Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to define and execute the companys growth strategy.

- Develop commercial roadmaps to deliver ambitious revenue growth over the next five to ten years.

- Identify new growth opportunities across customer segments, product categories, geographies, applications, and channels.

- Establish sales and marketing performance metrics, governance mechanisms, and accountability frameworks.

2. Domestic Business Growth:

- Lead and accelerate growth across existing B2B customer segments, including knitting, weaving, fabric manufacturing, garment manufacturing, home textiles, and industrial textile customers.

- Strengthen strategic relationships with key accounts and large customers.

- Increase customer penetration across textile clusters and emerging manufacturing hubs.

- Improve customer retention and increase share of business with existing customers.

3. International Business Development:

- Drive expansion of export markets and international customer relationships.

- Develop strategic growth plans for existing and new geographies.

- Build partnerships with international distributors, agents, trading houses, and strategic customers.

- Increase export contribution while improving product mix and profitability.

4. Distribution and Channel Development:

- Design and build a scalable dealer, distributor, retailer, and channel partner ecosystem.

- Expand market reach beyond direct institutional sales.

- Create structured channel management systems and performance frameworks.

- Develop distribution models capable of serving both industrial and emerging customer segments.

5. New Market Creation and Demand Generation:

- Identify untapped opportunities where yarn can create new markets and applications.

- Develop demand-generation initiatives that expand yarn consumption beyond traditional industrial buyers.

- Create engagement platforms for designers, artisans, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and emerging user communities.

- Build programs that create long-term demand pull and market development.

6. Brand Building and Market Positioning:

- Develop and execute a long-term brand strategy that enhances market visibility and customer preference.

- Build awareness among customers, channel partners, influencers, institutions, and industry stakeholders.

- Lead participation in trade shows, exhibitions, industry forums, digital platforms, and thought-leadership initiatives.

- Enhance brand equity across domestic and international markets.

7. Customer Insights and Market Intelligence:

- Introduce advanced customer and market insight practices.

- Develop a deep understanding of customer behavior, purchase drivers, unmet needs, and emerging trends.

- Build data-driven market intelligence capabilities.

- Leverage insights to guide product development, innovation, channel strategies, and customer engagement.

8. Product Innovation and Market Development:

- Collaborate with manufacturing and leadership teams to identify opportunities for value-added products.

- Support development of premium, speciality, and differentiated yarn offerings.

9. Commercial Excellence:

- Establish world-class sales planning, forecasting, pricing, key account management, and channel management systems.

- Introduce modern CRM, analytics, and customer engagement platforms.

- Improve sales productivity and commercial effectiveness.

- Build scalable processes capable of supporting significant growth.

10. Leadership and Organisational Capability Building:

- Build and lead a high-performing sales, marketing, business development, export, and channel management organisation.

- Attract, develop, and retain strong commercial talent.

- Create a culture of customer focus, innovation, accountability, and growth.

- Identify new applications and adjacent opportunities that can increase market penetration and profitability.
