VP Sales & Marketing (Consumer Durable/Appliances)
You will define and drive the company's strategic roadmap, managing both sales and marketing functions to deliver top-line and bottom-line growth & expanding distribution networks, and building brand equity for products like appliances, consumer electronics, and home goods. The role requires a visionary leader who can align brand strategy with sales operations to increase market share, improve product distribution, and ensure high customer satisfaction across varied channels (retail, eCommerce, large format stores).
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Revenue Generation:
- Develop and implement long-term sales and marketing strategies to achieve financial targets (revenue/volume) and expand market presence.
Sales & Distribution Management:
- Build, manage, and scale the sales team and distribution network. This includes optimizing dealer networks, managing large format stores (LFS), and expanding geographic reach.
Marketing & Brand Strategy:
- Oversee ATL (Above-the-Line) media planning, digital transformation, and BTL (Below-the-Line) activities to improve brand visibility and consumer loyalty.
Product & Category Growth:
- Partner with R&D and product teams to guide product innovation, diversification, and launches, ensuring alignment with consumer insights and market trends.
Financial & Budget Accountability:
- Manage the sales and marketing budget, optimize ROI on marketing spend, and control inventory/debtors to ensure financial hygiene.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to refine strategies.
Leadership & Talent Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing sales and marketing professionals.
Qualification And Experience:
1. MBA in Marketing with Minimum 15+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, specifically within the consumer durables, electronics, or FMCG sectors.
2. Proven success in driving revenue growth, managing large-scale national or regional distribution, and launching new products.
3. Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
4. Expertise in B2C marketing and brand management.
5. Strong understanding of channel management and trade marketing.
6. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
7. High proficiency in digital marketing and eCommerce.
