Vice President - Regulatory Reporting

Role Overview:

A leading international banking institution is seeking a regulatory reporting professional for its finance function in Mumbai. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and initial review of Reserve Bank of India regulatory returns, interpretation of regulatory circulars, and coordination with Finance, Risk, Operations and Compliance. The position also supports statutory audits, regulatory inspections, financial certifications and regulatory reporting controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review Reserve Bank of India regulatory returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

- Interpret regulatory circulars and translate requirements into reporting deliverables.

- Coordinate with Finance, Risk, Operations and Compliance stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.

- Support statutory closing, certifications, Long Form Audit Reports and audit requirements.

- Assist with Reserve Bank of India inspections and maintain supporting records for regulatory review.

- Contribute to Automated Data Flow project deliverables, reporting controls and process simplification.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant with 4 - 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience; strong regulatory reporting experience is essential.

- Prior experience in an international bank, preferably in regulatory reporting.

- Strong knowledge of Reserve Bank of India regulations and Indian Accounting Standards.

- Experience in preparing and reviewing regulatory returns and interpreting regulatory circulars.

- Strong analytical, Microsoft Excel, communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to work onsite in Mumbai.
