- As a senior leader in the organization, the Vice President will play a pivotal role in strategizing, planning, and executing retail projects across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations, and brand standards.


- The position requires not only technical expertise in civil/architectural domains but also exceptional leadership and project governance capabilities to deliver world-class retail spaces on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:


As Vice President - Project Management & Retail Project Execution, your primary mandate will be to lead and oversee all aspects of retail project development and execution across multiple geographies.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


1. Strategic Planning & Retail Expansion


- Develop long-term strategies for retail project rollout across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India.

- Align project execution with corporate expansion goals and retail business strategies.

- Create scalable processes and standardized frameworks to support rapid expansion.

- Anticipate market challenges, risks, and opportunities to ensure smooth project delivery.

2. End-to-End Project Lifecycle Management

- Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, from site identification and acquisition to final handover.

- Collaborate with business teams to finalize location strategy, considering demographics, footfall, and ROI analysis.

- Manage design, architecture, engineering, and execution phases to deliver customer-centric retail spaces.

- Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, cost budgets, and safety standards.

3. Retail Space Transformation

- Lead the transformation of raw spaces into sophisticated, brand-aligned retail showrooms.

- Introduce innovative designs, layouts, and customer-friendly formats.

- Benchmark against global retail standards while customizing solutions for Indian markets.

- Maintain high quality and finish standards across all retail outlets.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management


- Build strong relationships with architects, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

- Negotiate contracts, manage vendors, and monitor performance to ensure cost-effectiveness.

- Drive transparency and accountability across all stakeholders involved in execution.

- Liaise with regulatory authorities to secure timely approvals and clearances.

5. Operational Excellence & Governance


- Implement project governance frameworks and performance tracking systems.

- Monitor KPIs including budget adherence, execution speed, quality benchmarks, and customer experience.

- Drive operational efficiency by leveraging technology, automation, and digital tools in project management.

- Establish best practices for documentation, compliance, and risk management.

6. Leadership & People Management

- Build, mentor, and lead a strong project management team capable of delivering multiple projects simultaneously.

- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence across the department.

- Coach and groom the next generation of leaders within the project management function.

- Encourage cross-functional collaboration with design, operations, and retail business teams.

7. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Drive adoption of sustainable and green building practices in retail projects.

- Encourage the use of advanced construction techniques, modular designs, and cost-optimized layouts.

- Stay updated on global trends in retail design and construction to introduce cutting-edge ideas.

- Continuously improve processes to reduce project cycle time and enhance ROI.

Ideal Candidate Profile:


We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader who meets the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications:


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a reputed institution.

- Additional certifications in Project Management (PMP/Prince2/Lean Construction) will be a plus.

Professional Experience:

- 18-25 years of experience in retail project management, with extensive exposure to large-scale retail rollout across India.

- Proven track record in delivering projects across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

- Strong background in managing large-format retail spaces, including showrooms, malls, or similar retail formats.

- Project Management Expertise: In-depth understanding of retail project lifecycles, construction methods, and execution frameworks.

- Retail Transformation Skills: Ability to convert raw commercial spaces into elegant, customer-friendly retail outlets aligned with brand identity.
