My Client is one of the fast scaling consumer-tech startup backed by reputed investors, building a digital marketplace and community platform in the sports-tech, lifestyle, and wellness-tech space. With a rapidly growing user base across major Indian cities, they are at the forefront of transforming how people discover, engage, and participate in everyday experiences.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Founders are looking for a Vice President Product Head to lead the product strategy and roadmap for their company platform. This is a high-ownership leadership role, reporting to the founders, with end-to-end responsibility for scaling product offerings, user engagement, and monetization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Product Vision & Strategy
- Define the long-term product vision aligned with company mission.
- Translate business goals (growth, retention, monetization) into a clear product roadmap.
- Prioritize between consumer experience, supply-side and B2B SaaS features.
B. User Experience & Engagement
- Oversee UX/UI design simple, seamless booking flows, smooth payment experience.
- Build engagement loops (notifications, rewards, social/community features).
- Improve retention with features like loyalty programs, leaderboards, skill ratings (GRIP).
C. Technology & Innovation
- Work with engineering to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable platforms (mobile + web).
- Introduce AI/ML features (recommend matches, suggest venues, predict cancellations).
- Explore new product lines livestreaming, coaching marketplace, corporate wellness tie-ins.
D. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing, Growth, Sales, Ops to align product features with GTM strategy.
- Work closely with Venue Partnerships to ensure product meets supply needs.
- Lead Product, Design, and Analytics teams hire, mentor, and scale product org.
E. Stakeholder & Investor Management
- Present product strategy, roadmaps, and progress to founders, board, and investors.
- Balance short-term growth hacks with long-term sustainable innovation.
Other Responsibilities include
- Build and launch new revenue streams including B2B SaaS tools, partnerships, and digital experiences.
- Own key product KPIs: active users, engagement metrics, conversions, retention, NPS.
Present product strategy and performance to senior leadership and investors.
CANDIDATES CRITERIA
- 7-13 years of product management experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in scaling products in consumer-tech, marketplace, or SaaS environments.
- Strong track record of building user-centric products and leading cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset ideally someone who has built or scaled products from scratch.
- Deep understanding of data-driven decision making, UX/UI, and agile product development.
