Vice President - Procurement - FMCG

Core Responsibilities

1) Strategic Sourcing

- End-to-end sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials

2) Commodity Buying

- Procurement of agricultural commodities (spices, oils, vegetables, grains)

- Managing seasonal buying cycles and price hedging strategies

3) Outsourced Manufacturing

- Negotiating contracts for external manufacturing and finished goods supply

4) Supply Assurance

- Ensuring timely availability of materials across manufacturing locations

Key Functional Deliverables

1)Negotiation

- Deploying advanced negotiation strategies across procurement categories

2) Vendor Development

- Identifying, auditing, and onboarding scalable vendor partners

3) Cost Optimization

- Driving cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality

- Leveraging digitization (e-auctions for commodities and packaging)

4) Inventory Control

- Optimizing lead times and safety stock to ensure zero production downtime

5) Compliance & Quality

- Ensuring adherence to global food safety standards (FSSAI, BRC, FDA)

6) Contract Farming

- Prior experience in contract farming at scale is desirable

Candidate Profile:

1) Industry Experience

- FMCG, Food Processing, or Beverage industry (mandatory)

2) Technical Expertise

- Strong command of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)

- Commodity market analytics

- Supply chain risk management

3) Leadership

- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage high-stakes supplier negotiations
