
Objective:
- The Vice President - Global Supply Chain Management will lead the global supply chain function across all four key sub-functions: Planning, Logistics, Customer Support, and Procurement.
- The role will ensure world-class operational execution, YOY cost reduction, robust systems, and process rigor to support global business growth.
- The position will also play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives, YOY Cost reduction, optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes, and leading business process integration efforts across markets and business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and market needs.
- Ensure cost reduction on continuous basis through
- Strategy formulation and execution at global level.
- Work closely with Sales and finance team to win businesses.
- Build strong cross-functional alignment with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Technology teams.
Functional Leadership
Lead and manage all four supply chain sub-functions globally:
1. Procurement: Strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, risk mitigation.
2. Planning: Demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, inventory optimization.
3. Logistics & Distribution: Global transportation, warehousing, distribution excellence, freight optimization, export/import management.
4. Customer Support: Order management, service-level performance, customer communication, and fulfilment excellence.
Operational Excellence & Governance:
- Ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations across global supply chain activities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and governance rhythms for performance management.
- Strengthen compliance, quality, and EHS standards in end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Build robust policies, SOPs, and frameworks for continuous improvement.
Strategic Initiatives & Process Integration
- Support and lead key strategic initiatives including supply chain transformation, global standardization, New product introduction and digitalization.
- Drive business process integrations across ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable new business models, new product introductions, and expansion into new geographies. Evaluate and implement best-in-class tools, technologies, and platforms for supply chain optimization.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, and Quality teams to enable seamless business performance. Manage global supplier and logistics partner relationships to ensure reliability and cost - effectiveness.
- Work with senior leadership to align supply chain strategy with broader organizational goals.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor global supply chain leaders and teams Build high-performance culture, strengthen competencies, and enable succession planning.
- Foster collaboration across regions, business units, and central functions..
Education Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering + MBA
Work Experience:
- Should have Lead procurement of more than 2500 Cr.
- Should have managed multi product supply chain with >2000 SKUs.
- 20+ years of experience in supply chain management, with significant leadership exposure in a global chemical or process industry environment.
- Overseas work experience will be preferred.
- Knowledge Strong domain expertise across Planning, Logistics, Customer Support, and Procurement.
- Proven capability in setting up supply chain policies, governance frameworks, and ERP/Supply Chain systems.
