About the Role:

Our client is a growth-focused private equity investment firm that partners with high-potential, founder-led businesses across sectors including consumer, retail, financial services, healthcare services, and business services. They are seeking a high-impact, results-oriented Vice President, Portfolio Operations. In this role, you will partner closely with their investment professionals and the leadership teams of portfolio companies to accelerate value creation, improve operational performance, and drive sustainable EBITDA growth across the portfolio.

Working directly with Founders, CEOs, and executive leadership teams, you will lead strategic and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring 10-12 years of experience, combining rigorous problem-solving and strategic thinking with hands-on operating experience in a corporate or portfolio company environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Value Creation:

- Partner with investment teams and portfolio company leadership to develop, implement, and monitor value creation plans and multi-year operational roadmaps.

- Identify and execute initiatives that drive revenue growth, margin expansion, cash flow improvement, and operational efficiency.

- Develop standardized operating dashboards and KPIs to measure progress against the investment thesis and ensure accountability across portfolio companies.

- Drive cross-functional transformation initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, scalability, and operational excellence.

Portfolio Company Engagement:

- Work directly with portfolio company management teams to diagnose operational challenges and implement practical, scalable solutions.

- Lead strategic transformation initiatives across operations, commercial excellence, procurement, working capital optimization, organizational design, and technology enablement.

- Participate in portfolio company operating reviews and board meetings, providing independent perspectives on execution progress, operational risks, and value creation opportunities.

Transformation, Digital & AI Enablement:

- Identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies, automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, customer experience, and decision-making across portfolio companies.

- Partner with management teams to prioritize and implement technology initiatives that enhance long-term enterprise value.

Qualifications:

- Relevant years of experience with hands-on operating or P&L leadership experience within corporates or startups. Prior management consulting experience is welcome, not mandatory.

- Prior experience in Consumer, Retail, B2B Services, Financial Services, or Healthcare Services will be a plus.

- Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to connect operational initiatives to revenue growth, cash flow, EBITDA expansion, and value creation.

- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence founders, CEOs, and senior executives.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management capabilities.

- Willingness to roll up your sleeves to support portfolio companies across multiple locations.
