My Client is a global leader in ethical commodity trading and supply-chain management, specializing in agricultural products and natural resources across Asia, Africa, Europe and beyond.

The VP - Operations & Projects role has been created in response to the growing complexity of the Director's mandate as the company scales across products, geographies, and operating models. With multiple initiatives running in parallel-acquisitions, capex projects, operational expansion, and leadership cadence-the Director requires a senior, highly trusted partner who can bring structure, alignment, follow-through, and execution discipline.

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for translating strategic priorities into coordinated action, strengthening planning and tracking mechanisms, and driving cross-functional execution across markets and functions.

Reporting into the Director with close collaboration across global leadership, this role will act as a pivotal connective layer between commercial, operational and organizational agendas-ensuring that leadership intent is consistently reflected in execution outcomes.

The VP - Operations & Projects acts as a force multiplier for the Director and senior leadership, ensuring that strategic intent translates into timely, high-quality execution. Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a Tier 1 MBA (Finance) with 10+ years of post-MBA experience, who has operated in high-exposure, cross-functional roles close to promoters, founders, or CXOs.

They bring strong financial and analytical capability, combined with the ability to translate strategy into structured execution across projects, capex initiatives, and business priorities.

They are a systems and process thinker who thrives in dynamic environments and excels at creating order without bureaucracy.

They should have demonstrated ability to influence without authority, build trust across functions and geographies, and operate with a strong sense of ownership.

They should be comfortable operating behind the scenes yet capable of leading when required.

The candidate should be self-driven, anticipatory, and resilient, with the maturity to handle ambiguity, frequent change, and competing demands.

Experience working with multinational and multicultural teams is important, as is a mindset oriented toward learning, continuous improvement, and institutional value creation rather than individual visibility.

Desired Qualifications and Skill Sets:

- MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIM A/B/C/L, ISB, XLRI, FMS, MDI, IIFT, SIBM or equivalent) . A strong grounding in finance, economics, or commerce will be preferred

- 10+ years of post-MBA experience in strategy, projects, business operations, program management, strategic leadership-support roles

- Strong analytical and financial skills, including comfort with project economics, data validation, and performance reporting

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing senior-level presentations and reports

- Ability to work effectively with multicultural and geographically dispersed teams

- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively Globally(approximately 60% travel)
