Vice President - Operations

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Vice President - Operations to lead and scale the operations function across multiple cities, business lines, and delivery formats. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, service reliability, supply optimization, and network scalability in a fast-growing logistics-tech environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale last-mile operations, distributed teams, and high-volume delivery networks while maintaining strong control over operational costs, productivity, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end operations across last-mile delivery, city operations, partner operations, fleet management, rider supply, and service execution.

- Own operational P&L with accountability for revenue delivery, cost optimization, gross margins, productivity, and profitability.

- Develop and execute scalable operating models across various logistics formats, including last-mile delivery, hyperlocal logistics, quick commerce, e-commerce fulfilment, and enterprise logistics.

- Drive operational readiness for business growth through effective capacity planning, workforce planning, supply management, and network expansion.

- Improve key operational metrics such as on-time delivery, service levels, delivery success rates, rider productivity, fleet utilization, customer satisfaction, and cost per order.

- Build and implement systems, SOPs, dashboards, automation frameworks, and performance review mechanisms to enhance operational visibility and execution.

- Partner closely with Product, Technology, Revenue, Finance, and Customer Success teams to identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.

- Lead supply planning and optimization initiatives to ensure adequate rider and fleet availability while maximizing productivity and service reliability.

- Identify opportunities to improve unit economics, reduce operational inefficiencies, eliminate margin leakages, and enhance overall business performance.

- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing regional and city operations teams with a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and execution excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10-15+ years of experience in operations leadership roles within high-growth startups, scale-ups, or technology-enabled businesses.

- Strong background in logistics-tech, quick commerce, hyperlocal delivery, food delivery, e-commerce logistics, mobility platforms, marketplace businesses, or supply chain operations.

- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, multi-city operations and distributed workforce environments.

- Proven experience owning operational P&L, unit economics, cost optimization initiatives, and profitability improvement programs.

- Strong understanding of rider/fleet operations, supply planning, demand forecasting, capacity management, and service delivery frameworks.

- Experience working with data-driven decision-making tools, operational dashboards, performance metrics, and business intelligence systems.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with founders, leadership teams, clients, partners, and cross-functional teams.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and execution capabilities with the ability to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
