Job Title: Vice President Operations
Locations: Daman & Vapi (Manufacturing Plants)
Role Overview:
The Vice President Operations will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing leadership, driving operational excellence, capacity optimization, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and profitability across multiple plants. The role focuses on scaling operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring delivery excellence aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Operations:
- Lead and streamline production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain operations across plants.
- Drive capacity enhancement, process standardization, and workflow optimization.
- Oversee production planning, demand forecasting, manpower and shift planning.
- Ensure effective material planning and inventory control in line with business needs.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, OEE improvement, yield enhancement, and VSM initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Performance:
- Monitor plant KPIs, MIS, and performance dashboards; lead corrective actions through data-driven problem solving.
- Improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance delivery, quality, and service metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives.
Cost, Budget & P&L:
- Own plant P&L, budgets, Capex/Opex, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Control manufacturing, manpower, energy, logistics, and SCM costs to improve margins.
- Reduce internal rejections, scrap, and wastage within defined targets.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with ISO, BRCGS, Sedex, Amfori, FSC, customer and social audits.
- Strengthen internal audits, layered process audits, and quality governance systems.
- Oversee new product development and project execution timelines.
Leadership & Governance:
- Lead cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch, Logistics, Admin, and Finance.
- Build strong leadership pipelines, capability development, and performance culture.
- Conduct and drive effective Management Review Meetings (MRM) and strategic reporting to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BE / Diploma in Plastics Engineering (MBA preferred).
- 2025 years of experience in plastics manufacturing operations, with strong multi-plant leadership exposure.
- Proven expertise in strategic operations, financial management, operational excellence, and technology upgradation
