Role Overview:

As the VP Category / New Business Head, you will be the driving force behind the growth and profitability of a key category or the development of new business ventures. You will be responsible for defining and executing the category strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious revenue and market share targets. This role involves close collaboration with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams, as well as external partners and stakeholders. Your leadership will directly impact the company's ability to innovate, expand its market presence, and deliver exceptional value to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives, driving revenue growth and profitability.

- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including market trends, competitive landscape, and potential partnerships, to expand the company's reach and offerings.

- Lead cross-functional teams to launch new products and services, ensuring seamless execution from concept to market launch.

- Manage the P&L for the assigned category or new business venture, monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration.

- Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends, informing product development and marketing strategies.

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of category initiatives and new business ventures, providing regular updates to senior management.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and partners, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful category strategies that drive revenue growth and market share gains.

- Proven track record of identifying and launching new business ventures, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
