Role Overview:

As a Vice President in our Merchant Banking division, you will serve as a senior leader responsible for driving complex financial transactions and managing high-stakes client relationships across the capital markets landscape. You will lead cross-functional teams through the entire lifecycle of M&A deals, IPOs, and private equity placements, ensuring seamless execution from origination to closure. Working closely with C-suite executives, institutional investors, and regulatory bodies, you will act as a strategic advisor, shaping the financial trajectory of our clients while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management. Your leadership will be pivotal in expanding our market footprint in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, directly influencing the firm's profitability and reputation as a premier investment banking partner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Spearhead end-to-end execution of M&A and capital market mandates to ensure seamless deal closure and client satisfaction.

- Lead complex financial modeling and valuation exercises to provide robust strategic advice for corporate finance initiatives.

- Manage comprehensive due diligence processes to mitigate risks and protect the firm's interests during high-value transactions.

- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including promoters, institutional investors, and regulatory authorities, to drive business development.

- Oversee regulatory compliance and documentation for IPOs and other financial offerings to ensure adherence to SEBI and other statutory guidelines.

- Mentor and develop high-performing teams by fostering a culture of technical excellence, analytical rigor, and professional integrity.

- Formulate and execute business development strategies to identify new market opportunities and expand the firm's client portfolio in the region.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in executing complex financial transactions, including M&A, IPOs, and private equity, backed by 10 - 20 years of intensive experience in the Merchant Banking industry.

- Exceptional proficiency in advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategic insights.

- Strong command over regulatory frameworks and compliance standards, ensuring all transactions meet stringent legal and market requirements.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, coupled with the interpersonal finesse required to navigate high-pressure negotiations with senior stakeholders.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling the clear articulation of value propositions to institutional clients and internal leadership.

- A postgraduate degree in Finance, MBA from a premier institute, or a professional qualification like CA/CFA is highly preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, maintaining high levels of productivity and professional presence.
