Role Overview:

As the Vice President of Merchant Banking, you will spearhead high-stakes financial mandates, acting as a strategic advisor to corporate boards, promoters, and institutional investors. You will lead end-to-end transaction lifecycles, ranging from complex M&A and capital raising to IPOs and structured project finance. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional deal teams, you will navigate the intricate regulatory landscape of the Indian financial markets to deliver bespoke solutions. Your work will directly influence the growth trajectory of our clients, ensuring seamless execution of large-scale financial strategies while cementing our firm's reputation as a market leader in the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai financial corridors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the origination and execution of complex investment banking mandates, including M&A, divestitures, and equity capital market transactions, to drive revenue growth and expand our client footprint.

- Oversee comprehensive financial modeling and valuation exercises to provide clients with data-backed insights for critical business decisions.

- Manage end-to-end regulatory compliance and due diligence processes, ensuring all transactions adhere to SEBI guidelines and other statutory requirements to mitigate institutional risk.

- Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with corporate clients, private equity firms, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth deal closures and long-term business development.

- Mentor and guide junior deal teams, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and excellence in transaction advisory and project finance execution.

- Formulate and implement business strategies that align with market trends, ensuring the firm remains competitive in the evolving capital markets landscape.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial transactions, with a proven track record of successfully closing M&A and IPO mandates within the 10 to 25-year experience bracket.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and corporate finance, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategic advice for C-suite stakeholders.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, essential for high-stakes client engagement and managing relationships with diverse institutional stakeholders.

- Deep understanding of the Indian regulatory framework, including SEBI regulations, ensuring all advisory services are compliant and ethically sound.

- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-pressure, on-site environment across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

- A postgraduate degree in Finance, MBA from a premier institute, or a professional qualification like CA/CFA is highly preferred to navigate the technical demands of this role.
