Our client A-State-Of-The-Art Alloy and Special Steel Plant based in Ludhiana, is one of the reputed North India's Steel Plants with an installed capacity of 2,00,000 MT per annum is looking for a Vice President - Marketing, to lead the marketing and business development functions of the steel division with strategic foresight, strengthening market presence, enhancing customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue and profitability growth through innovation, service excellence and deep market intelligence.
Role Overview
The Vice President - Marketing will lead the marketing and business development functions for the Steel Division. The role involves shaping strategic direction, expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and driving profitable growth through innovation and market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute marketing strategies aligned with company goals and production capacities.
- Identify and develop domestic and export markets for carbon and alloy steel products, particularly for the automotive sector.
- Drive product differentiation, branding, and positioning in competitive market environments.
- Oversee pricing strategies, credit control, and dealer/distributor network management.
- Monitor market trends, government policies, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless order execution and payment realization.
- Provide strategic inputs to management for business expansion and diversification.
Candidate Profile:
- B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; MBA in Marketing preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in marketing and sales of steel/alloy steel (preferably long products).
- Proven exposure to automotive OEMs, Tier-1, and Tier-2 vendors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and dealer networks.
- Demonstrated success in market development, pricing, and brand positioning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
