Position: Vice President - Legal & Compliance Head

Industry: Steel | Alumina | Mining | Food

Experience: Minimum 20 Years

Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure full compliance with Central, State & Local laws across manufacturing, mining & food businesses.

- Oversee compliance under Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, RBI, Labour Laws, Environmental Laws, Factory Acts, Mining Laws, FSSAI, etc.

- Lead and monitor SCOUPP (Statutory, Corporate, Operational, Universal & Policy Procedures) compliance across the Group.

IPO & Capital Market Compliance:

- Lead IPO readiness, pre-IPO restructuring & post-listing compliances.

- Coordinate with Investment Bankers, Legal Advisors, Auditors, Merchant Bankers & Regulators.

Legal Governance & Due Diligence:

- Head Legal Due Diligence for M&A, JVs, divestments & strategic investments

- Provide Legal risk assessment & mitigation strategies.

Litigation & Dispute Management:

- Manage Litigation, arbitration & dispute resolution across courts, tribunals & authorities.

- Track legal exposure and ensure timely resolution.

Policy Frameworks & Risk Management:

- Develop & implement Group-wide compliance policies, SOPs & internal controls.

Key Requirements:

- 20+ years of experience in Legal & Compliance roles within large manufacturing groups.

- Mandatory experience in IPO Compliance, Legal Due Diligence, SCOUPP & Regulatory Frameworks.

- Strong exposure to Steel, Alumina, Mining & Food industries.

- In-depth knowledge of Indian Corporate, Commercial, Labour, Environmental, Mining & Food Laws.

Qualifications:

- LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.

- CS / CA / Compliance Certifications Added Advantage
