Vice President - IT & Cybersecurity Domain - BFSI

Job Description:

Highly skilled and experienced IT & Cybersecurity Head to lead the organization's technology infrastructure, security operations, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding information assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates, and driving strategic IT initiatives in alignment with business objectives, particularly within the BFSI regulatory environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, network systems, and enterprise data operations.

- Establish and govern cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and compliance programs per regulatory standards (SEBI, RBI, IFSCA, MeitY, ISO/IEC 27001).

- Implement and manage enterprise security tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP, MFA, email security, etc.).

- Conduct periodic VAPT, manage remediation efforts, and oversee secure system configurations.

- Direct incident response planning, lead cyber crisis management drills, and ensure operational resilience.

- Manage audit processes, ensure timely reporting, and maintain adherence to cybersecurity mandates.

- Develop, review, and update IT security policies and ensure effective communication across the organization.

- Maintain comprehensive IT asset inventories and ensure timely patch and vulnerability management.

- Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, regulators, and industry CTO forums on technology-related compliance and regulatory updates.

- Engage with AMFI Committees, SEBI, and governing agencies for strengthening the technology and security stature

- Manage entire lifecycle of platforms, tools, technologies, and solutions

- Monitor global threat intelligence, assess impact on business, and proactively mitigate emerging risks.

The ideal candidate should have:

- 15+ years proven working experience of relevant experience in IT operations and cybersecurity leadership roles, preferably in BFSI.

- Prior experience in vendor evaluation, management, and governance

- At least 3 years of experience in BFSI or FinTech

- Strong understanding of BFSI regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

- Demonstrated experience in managing regulatory audits and cyber assessments.

- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and zero-trust frameworks.

- Exposure to frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CSCRF - By SEBI.

- Expertise in data center management and data governance

- Team player with strong inter-personal skills to deal with personnel at various levels in the industry and with the regulator.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
