Vice President - IPV Valuations

The position is with Well known Financial Services and they are looking for VP - IPV Valuations

Position Specifications:

- Independent price verification of various OTC products. Supporting overall management & development of Collateral IPV team & working across regions to drive consistency.

- Manage the team performing IPV for full spectrum of underlying collateral positions, Review of independent prices obtained through external market or priced through in-house valuation models using external input/parameters.

- Train & Manage team with capabilities to perform Bond rating analysis, underlying collateral, capital structure and financial health of the issuer. Also possess in-depth understanding of cash products traded in EMEA markets, their prime issuer, payoff and life cycle.

- Responsible for detailed Investigation of significant variances and tolerance breaches, untested positions, handling queries from trading, Risk, PC & senior management related to valuation/prices provided. Raise queries to FO, Collateral team, Product control if any DQ issue/outlier is observed

- Preliminary discussion of IPV results with Powai head of Valuations and subsequently conducting monthly forums for discussing Global pack with CRM, FOR, Collateral team and other interested parties. Discussion to focus on any open or action items from prior meeting, present statistics and details around monthly IPV, RAG, Exception reporting, margin dispute resolution, Key themes, focus areas, methodology discussions etc

- Train & manage team to Confirm Valuation for MTM and Margin Call disputes (with help of IPV market data wherever available) to adhere to Dodd Frank & EMIR regulations

- Establish control & governance within Powai collateral IPV hub & setting up best practices for team e.g. Maintain & review SOPs, Exception List, Pricing waterfall etc.

- Independently handling & driving regular senior stakeholder communications and audit queries

- Reviewing, designing and enhancing controls, including an appreciation of digital tools and how this can be applied in a controlled and effective manner

- Possess excellent problem solving and communication skills

- Good Python programming skills is desirable
