Our client is a growth-focused private equity investment firm that partners with high-potential, founder-led businesses across sectors including consumer, retail, financial services, healthcare services, and business services. They are seeking a high-impact, results-oriented Vice President, Investments (Private Equity).
Working directly with Founders, CEOs, and internal leadership to originate high-quality investment opportunities and create long-term value for portfolio companies. The Vice President Investments will be responsible for leading the complete investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, portfolio management, and exits.
The ideal candidate will bring relevant years of experience, combining rigorous problem-solving and strategic thinking with hands-on operating experience in a corporate or portfolio company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Origination:
- Source proprietary investment opportunities across Consumer, Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services, Technology-enabled Services, and other sectors aligned with the fund's investment strategy.
- Develop strong relationships with entrepreneurs, investment bankers, venture capital firms, family offices, intermediaries, and industry networks.
- Build and maintain a robust investment pipeline.
Investment Evaluation:
- Lead commercial, financial, operational, and strategic evaluation of investment opportunities.
- Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, market sizing, and business assessment.
- Develop detailed financial models including:
1. Three-statement financial models
2. DCF valuation
3. Comparable company analysis
4. Transaction multiples
5. IRR and return sensitivity analysis
- Prepare investment memorandums and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
Transaction Execution:
- Lead end-to-end transaction execution including:
1. Financial and commercial due diligence
2. Legal and tax diligence
3. Deal structuring
4. Valuation negotiations
5. SPA, SHA and transaction documentation
6. Closing process
- Coordinate with legal advisors, consultants, auditors, lenders, and portfolio company management.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor operational and financial performance of portfolio companies.
- Partner with management teams on:
1. Business strategy
2. Growth initiatives
3. Capital allocation
4. Performance improvement
5. Governance and Board reporting
- Track KPIs and recommend value creation initiatives.
Exit Planning:
- Develop exit strategies through strategic sale, secondary sale, IPO, or promoter buyback.
- Support exit execution and maximize investment returns.
Leadership:
- Mentor Associates and Senior Associates.
- Review financial models, research reports, and investment presentations prepared by junior team members.
- Drive knowledge sharing and best investment practices across the team.
