About the Client:
Client is a VC Fund raising their second fund. First fund is at DPI of 1.5%. Fund 2 is expected to be a $ 150 - 180 Mn to be deployed across 12 - 14 companies (60% of deployment in new companies and 40% in follow-ons). Fund I, deployment currently in terms of IRR is in the top decile basis the benchmarking done by Preqin and Crisil.
About the role:

Responsibilities:
- Lead the investment process from sourcing opportunities to executing deals, including conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and negotiation of terms.
- Evaluate investment opportunities in the respective sector, analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and growth potential.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and support in areas such as business development, operations, and fundraising.
- Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, and other stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
- Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies, identifying opportunities for value creation and risk mitigation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics to inform investment decisions and strategy.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a drive to make an impact in the startup ecosystem.
Must have:
- B.E, B.Tech from a premier institute.
- Basic knowledge of finance and financial concepts is a must.
- Must be hands-on on investing rationale especially know how of investor mindset.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a venture capital, private equity or equity research background is a must.
- Strong work ethics and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Fundamentals-first business evaluation approach
