About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategically minded Vice President Investment with deep expertise in the music, entertainment, and sports industries.

The role involves leading investment initiatives, evaluating opportunities, managing portfolios, and driving value creation across media, content, and sports assets.

As a senior member of the investment team, you will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing investments, developing financial models, and partnering closely with founders, management teams, and strategic partners to accelerate growth and returns.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Strategy & Origination

- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the music, media, entertainment, and sports ecosystems (record labels, rights management, streaming, live events, esports, sports leagues, etc.

- Develop and execute investment theses aligned with the firms strategic vision.

- Build and maintain a strong network of industry executives, advisors, and potential partners to originate deals.

- Conduct market research, industry mapping, and competitive benchmarking to assess trends and white spaces.

Deal Execution

- Lead end-to-end deal execution including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, and negotiation.

- Partner with legal, tax, and compliance teams to ensure efficient and compliant transaction structures.

- Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and committee materials.

- Oversee transaction documentation, closing processes, and post-deal integration.

Portfolio Management

- Actively manage a portfolio of investments in music, entertainment, and sports assets.

- Drive value creation initiatives across portfolio companies, including revenue optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic partnerships.

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with investment goals.

- Support exit planning, including secondary sales, IPOs, or strategic divestitures.

Stakeholder Management

- Build strong relationships with founders, management teams, industry bodies, and strategic investors.

- Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor forums, and networking events.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams on strategic initiatives, capital raising, and portfolio reporting.

Leadership & Mentorship

- Lead and mentor junior analysts and associates, guiding them in deal sourcing, modeling, and analysis.

- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of investment frameworks, valuation models, and governance standards.
