About the role One of very know Client:
- The Fund is seeking to onboard a Vice President (VP) to strengthen and lead investments, portfolio management, and exit initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and the broader investment team across all fund initiatives.
- The VP will play a critical role in scaling the platform, supporting successor fund launches, and contributing to the Fund's positioning as a leader in private equity and venture capital investing, with a focus on climate, sustainability, and impact-oriented sectors. As a senior team member, the VP will bring strong investment judgment, leadership, and execution capability to drive financial and impact outcomes across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Investments and Transaction Execution
- Source, evaluate, and analyse investment opportunities; actively track and manage deal flow
- Conduct detailed market, sector, company, promoter, and management due diligence
- Structure transactions, negotiate term sheets, and lead execution of legal documentation
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and related materials for internal and external stakeholders
2. Portfolio Management and Value Creation
- Work closely with portfolio companies to drive growth, scale operations, and achieve financial and impact objectives
- Represent the Fund on boards of portfolio companies as a Director or Observer
- Support follow-on fundraising initiatives for portfolio companies by building relationships with coinventors and new investors
3. Exits and Fund Management
- Plan and execute exit strategies in line with fund objectives
- Contribute to limited partner (LP) engagement, including reporting and fundraising activities
4. Team Leadership and Process Improvement
- Manage and mentor a team of associates and analysts; provide guidance, performance feedback, and capability development
- Drive continuous improvement in investment processes, frameworks, and fund operations
Key Requirements:
- 3-8 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in growth capital or private equity investing
- Preference for experience in climate & environment, infrastructure, clean-tech, impact investing, or SME-focused investments
- Prior experience in private equity or venture capital funds, principal investing, corporate strategy & M&A, or investment banking
- Hands-on investment and/or operating experience in climate-tech, technology, manufacturing, or engineering sectors preferred
- Strong deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction execution capabilities
- Demonstrated investment track record, preferably across a full fund lifecycle
- Ability to analyze complex situations and drive solutions independently
- Strong stakeholder management skills with an established industry and investor network preferred
- Proven ability to mentor, lead, and develop high-performing investment teams
- Fundraising experience with institutional investors is an advantage
