Role Overview:
- The Vice President - Insurance Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing operational strategy for US market policy services and underwriting operations. This role ensures scalable, high-quality delivery, strong client governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous transformation.
- You will collaborate closely with global clients, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive growth, efficiency, and risk-controlled outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations Leadership:
- Provide strategic direction and overall accountability for US market insurance operations
- Translate business strategy into a multi-year operational roadmap aligned with growth goals
- Act as senior escalation point for complex operational, regulatory, and client issues
End-to-End Policy Lifecycle Governance:
- Own governance across the full policy lifecycle including underwriting support, binding, post-bind activities, accounting & settlement, claims support, renewals, and reporting
- Ensure adherence to US market practices, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards
- Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, bordereaux, invoicing, and rule-based decision-making
Client Delivery & Performance Management:
- Own SLAs, KPIs, productivity, turnaround time, quality, and accuracy metrics
- Lead client governance forums, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for scope expansion and operational efficiency
Transformation, Technology & Analytics:
- Drive standardization, digitization, and automation leveraging policy administration systems and data platforms
- Partner with technology and analytics teams to implement scalable operating models
- Strengthen reporting and data-driven decision-making
Risk, Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure strong operational controls, audit readiness, and compliance
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks
People Leadership & Global Collaboration:
- Build and mentor senior leaders; develop succession pipelines
- Foster a high-performance, client-centric culture
- Collaborate with global stakeholders across functions
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or insurance certifications preferred
- 15+ years of experience with strong expertise in P&C insurance markets and leadership exposure
- Deep knowledge of US market operating models, policy administration systems, and data workflows
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-client insurance operations
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities
