Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced VP Gaming Engineering to lead the technology and engineering function for a rapidly growing online gaming business. The role requires a strong technology leader with deep experience in online gaming platforms, high-scale systems, game technology and engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall engineering and technology strategy for the online gaming platform.

- Manage and scale high-performing engineering, architecture and platform teams.

- Drive development of high-volume, highly available and low-latency gaming platforms.

- Own platform architecture, scalability, reliability, security and performance.

- Lead engineering across game development, backend/platform services, APIs, integrations and real-time systems.

- Work closely with Product, Game Design, Data and Business teams to deliver new products and features.

- Drive adoption of cloud-native architecture, microservices, DevOps and modern engineering practices.

- Build robust frameworks for payments, wallets, player management, gaming engines and third-party integrations.

- Establish strong engineering governance, cybersecurity and regulatory-compliance standards.

- Build, mentor and develop a strong international engineering organisation.

Candidate Profile:

- 14-16 years of technology/engineering experience, with significant experience in Online Gaming / iGaming.

- Strong experience building and scaling high-transaction, real-time consumer platforms.

- Deep understanding of gaming platforms, backend architecture, microservices, cloud technologies and distributed systems.

- Proven experience leading large engineering teams in a VP Engineering / Head Engineering / Engineering Director capacity.

- Strong understanding of platform scalability, performance, security and reliability.

- Exposure to casino, sportsbook, real-money gaming, social gaming or other large-scale online gaming platforms preferred.

- Strong leadership skills with experience working across international and multicultural teams.

- Location: Candidate should be based in or willing to relocate to Prague or Serbia.
