About the Role
The role is envisaged as a strategic resource within the MD's Office, responsible for driving financial discipline, branch-level profitability, and enterprise-wide cost optimization. The incumbent will work closely with the MD and CFO to translate strategic priorities into actionable financial and operational outcomes, with a strong focus on P&L ownership, performance governance, and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Branch P&L Management & Performance Governance
- Drive end-to-end monitoring of branch-level profitability across business segments.
- Establish robust frameworks for tracking revenue, cost, and contribution margins at a granular level.
- Identify underperforming branches and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with business heads to improve unit economics and productivity.
2. Cost Optimization & Efficiency
- Lead cost control initiatives across branches and corporate functions.
- Develop cost benchmarking models and identify efficiency levers.
- Drive sustainable cost rationalization while ensuring business continuity and growth.
- Monitor cost-to-income ratios and recommend structural improvements.
3. CFO Transformation & Strategic Initiatives
- Anchor finance transformation projects in line with best practices (preferably exposure from Big 4 CFO Transformation vertical).
- Support implementation of advanced MIS, dashboards, and data-driven decision frameworks.
- Drive automation and standardization of financial processes.
- Assist in building scalable financial planning and forecasting models.
4. MD's Office - Strategic Support
- Work closely with the MD's Office on strategic reviews, board-level presentations, and business performance updates.
- Provide data-backed insights for key decision-making.
- Support evaluation of new business initiatives, expansion plans, and investment decisions.
5. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Drive rolling forecasts and scenario planning for business segments.
- Ensure alignment of financial targets with overall organizational strategy.
6. Cross-functional Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business, risk, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment on financial goals.
- Act as a bridge between central finance and business units for performance tracking.
Candidate Profile
- Education: CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
- Experience: 10-15 years of experience, with prior experience in Big 4 (CFO Transformation / Deal Advisory / Performance Improvement vertical preferred).
- Strong exposure to financial planning, business finance, and transformation initiatives.
- Prior experience in NBFC / BFSI sector will be an advantage.
