Purpose of the Role:

This role is within the Reporting Operations capability, specifically within the Liquidity Reporting vertical. Liquidity Reporting is a vital component in assessing the bank's vulnerabilities and determining liquidity and funding risk through various Basel metrics, thereby ensuring the resilience of the institution through improved risk management.

As such, the role holder will operate within one of the most complex Finance and Risk management processes in the banking sector. The results of this work directly drive liquidity positions and requirements, with the potential to affect the organization's reputation, impact share price, and influence strategic decisions. Liquidity Reporting is a strategic and regulatory priority with ever-increasing expectations.

In this role, you will:

- Ensure the production of accurate, complete, and timely Liquidity Risk reports for respective regions/groups, including but not limited to the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) report, Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) report, Additional Monitoring Metrics (AMM) report, and ALCO packs.

- Develop a deep understanding of liquidity reporting systems (e.g., Moody's, Finarch, and Big Data platforms) and assess the impact of business and reporting changes on these systems.

- Analyze and interpret complex data to provide meaningful insights and analysis that facilitate strategic business decision-making.

- Review and validate data by leveraging an understanding of business performance, and write comprehensive commentaries/reports to support the assurance process.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive change, focusing on enhancing efficiencies and strengthening controls.

- Coordinate and work closely with global teams across Finance, using performance standards (SLAs) and continuous feedback to ensure outputs consistently meet or exceed expectations.

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with business areas and key stakeholders, identifying areas for service improvement through regular calls and feedback mechanisms.

- Influence stakeholders and escalate key reporting issues in an effective manner to ensure timely resolution.

To be successful, you will have:

- Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or an Engineering degree with a demonstrated interest in Financial Services.

- Analytical & Data Skills: Proven ability to review large data sets to draw out strategic insights, interpret data, and identify trends/anomalies, particularly in the context of business performance, macroeconomic factors, or Regulatory drivers. Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.

- Domain Knowledge: Knowledge and/or a strong interest in Asset Liability Management (ALM), FSA Reporting, and relevant regulatory changes within a global banking environment.

- Control Focus: A solid understanding of control frameworks and practical experience in implementing effective controls.

- Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations and quickly grasp complex issues.

Technical Proficiency:

Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of Banking systems and an understanding of the relevant regulatory reporting framework is preferred.

Good understanding of financial products, general accounting principles, and, more broadly, the banking business, balance sheet, and income statement is preferred.
