Job Description : We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Finance Controller to join our organization. As a Finance Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team. The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 17 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting. Responsibilities : Financial Management : 1. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. 2. Manager the Group's reporting of actuals and forecasts. 3. Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide timely and accurate financial information to management. 4. Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks. 5. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, legal regulations, and reporting requirements. Treasury Management: 1. Oversee cash management activities, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and investment strategies. 2. Optimize working capital management and liquidity to meet the organization's financial obligations. 3. Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposures and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Taxation: 1.Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and manage tax planning, reporting, and filing activities. 2. Review and optimize tax structures to minimize tax liabilities. 3. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments 4. Managing and overseeing Direct Taxation and liaising with authorities/external agencies /Statutory & Internal Auditors. Play a vital role in complex tax calculations/ documentation for strategic projects like business restructuring, acquisitions, capital gains, review of contracts, etc. 5. Responsible for overseeing the Indirect Taxes for the Group including Tax Planning and Optimisation, GST Rules and Regulations understanding, Day to day returns, Assessment and Litigation and SAP Process understanding. Business Management Information Systems (MIS): 1. Develop and maintain robust financial and management reporting systems. 2. Generate accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 3. Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes. Audits and Compliance: 1. Work closely with various business units and statutory auditors to manage quarterly audits 2. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits. 3. Implement recommendations and corrective actions to address audit findings. 4. Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements. 5. Manage audit committee requirements Business Finance: 1. Provide financial analysis and support for business initiatives, including cost analysis, and pricing strategies. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial feasibility and evaluate potential risks and returns. 3. Identify cost improvement opportunities and be an active contributor in implementing, driving and monitoring the same. Requirements: - Qualified Chartered Accountant with a valid license. - Minimum of 17 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting and at least 5 years in a similar finance controller role. - Strong knowledge and experience in treasury management, taxation, business MIS, and financial reporting. - Proficiency in financial analysis and financial modelling. - Sound understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial laws. - Excellent leadership and people management skills. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
