Role Overview:
The VP Finance role is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization. This role involves providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team, managing financial risks, ensuring compliance, and driving financial performance. The VP Finance will work closely with various departments, including operations, business development, and legal, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. This position directly impacts the company's profitability, growth, and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Manage the company's treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making and investment evaluations.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and support to achieve long-term growth objectives.
- Oversee taxation planning and compliance, ensuring efficient tax management.
- Evaluate potential private equity investments and manage existing portfolio companies from a financial perspective.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, including valuation, capital budgeting, and risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of taxation, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent financial modeling and forecasting skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Experience in managing treasury functions and relationships with financial institutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in private equity investments is highly desirable.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a top-tier institution.
- 18-30 years of relevant experience in finance leadership roles.
