
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Vice President Corporate Quality to lead the organization's overall quality strategy, systems, customer quality, supplier quality, and continuous improvement agenda across manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for strengthening the Quality Management System, improving customer and supplier quality performance, ensuring compliance, and driving a culture of quality and operational excellence.
- Define and execute the organization-wide quality strategy, policies, standards, and Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Lead customer quality initiatives, including complaint resolution, defect analysis, warranty reduction, CAPA, and improvement of PPM and COPQ performance.
- Establish and strengthen supplier quality systems through supplier audits, development programs, incoming quality improvement, PPAP approvals, and alternate supplier qualification.
- Drive process quality through SPC, MSA, Poka-Yoke, calibration systems, CMM measurement, layout inspection, and laboratory testing.
- Oversee quality for new product development and process changes, including APQP, PPAP, ECR/PCR, PTR, tooling buy-off, and NPD quality approvals.
- Ensure compliance with IATF and other applicable QMS, statutory, regulatory, legal, and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead internal, process, product, supplier, and customer audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, Layered Process Audits (LPA), lessons learned, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement programs.
- Establish robust processes for handling non-conforming products, deviations, rework, scrap, and risk-based quality disposition.
- Monitor quality performance through dashboards, management reviews, and MQRM, identifying trends, risks, and strategic improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and other functions to embed quality across the complete product lifecycle.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing corporate quality team and strengthen quality capabilities across manufacturing locations.
- Ensure effective implementation and standardization of quality systems, processes, and best practices across the organization.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, customer focus, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Required Candidate Profile:
- 20 - 25 years of experience in Quality Management, preferably within automotive, auto components, engineering, or discrete manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience in a senior corporate quality leadership role managing quality across multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Strong expertise in IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, CAPA, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, LPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Extensive experience in customer quality, supplier quality, warranty reduction, complaint management, PPM, and COPQ improvement.
- Strong understanding of NPD quality processes, process validation, tooling, measurement systems, and manufacturing quality controls.
- Experience leading customer, supplier, internal, and certification audits.
- Strong leadership capability with experience in developing quality teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Strong business orientation with the ability to translate quality improvements into customer satisfaction, productivity, cost reduction, and business performance.
