Description: Vice President Corporate Communications (India).

Location: Bangalore, India.

Experience Required: 15-18 years.

Reporting To:

- Global: Head of Communications (based in New York).

- Local: Head of India (based in Bangalore).

Role Overview:

A leading global enterprise is seeking a seasoned and strategic Vice President, Corporate Communications India, to spearhead internal and external communications across the region.

This high-impact role will be based in Bangalore and serve as the communications lead for India, working closely with both global and regional leadership.

You will be responsible for shaping and delivering communication strategies that support business goals, strengthen employee engagement, and enhance the organizations brand reputation in India.

This position requires a high level of collaboration with the global communications team, senior stakeholders, and business leaders across continents.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications:

- Develop and execute integrated communication strategies and campaigns aligned with business objectives.

- Act as the editor-in-chief for India communications including leadership messages, employee updates, digital content, and firmwide communications.

- Collaborate with People & Culture and global Communications teams to ensure consistent and values-aligned messaging.

Internal & Digital Content Strategy:

- Design and manage a robust multi-channel content strategy including social media, newsletters, and internal platforms supported by performance analytics.

- Oversee multimedia and digital content creation to reflect the brands culture, initiatives, and achievements across India.

Change Management:

- Lead communications for key organizational changes such as restructures, leadership transitions, and new strategic directions.

- Develop toolkits, FAQs, and messaging guides to support change initiatives and drive employee clarity and alignment.

- Continuously assess the impact of change communications and adjust strategies accordingly.

Media Relations & Issues Management:

- Serve as the primary spokesperson in India, coordinating with global communications and external public affairs partners as needed.

- Manage relationships with external agencies to strengthen the organizations external visibility and brand position.

- Lead crisis communication and reputational risk management, providing proactive guidance to leadership during high-impact situations.

Global Collaboration & Alignment:

- Build trusted relationships with business and functional leaders to support localized communication strategies.

- Ensure alignment with global communications team on messaging, brand voice, and storytelling opportunities.

- Source, curate, and share stories and insights from India for use in global platforms and channels.

Who You Are:

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline.

- 15-18 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, ideally within global and matrixed organizations.

- Proven ability to lead communication strategy at scale and manage complex stakeholder environments.

- Deep understanding of Indias cultural and business landscape, with experience tailoring messaging for diverse audiences.

- Strong executive communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex topics into compelling narratives.

- Demonstrated success in multi-channel communication, including digital platforms and social media.

- Experience managing sensitive communications, crisis response, and media relations.

- Familiarity with branding, graphic design, and content creation tools.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with digital communication and analytics tools is a plus.
