
Position: VP - Corporate Affairs
Location: Delhi
Role Summary
- VP - Corporate Affairs to lead and strengthen its government relations, regulatory advocacy, and public affairs functions at the national level. The incumbent will serve as the primary interface between Company's leadership and key policy stakeholders - including ministries, regulators, industry bodies, and parliamentary offices - ensuring the Group's interests are effectively represented.
- This is a strategic leadership role that directly supports Company's's ambitious expansion across solar manufacturing, EPC, BESS, and Green Hydrogen. The VP will build institutional relationships, shape policy advocacy, and manage reputational risk, partnering closely with the Chairman's office and business verticals to drive outcomes critical to the Group's growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Government & Regulatory Relations
- Build and sustain high-level relationships with MNRE, MoP, DPIIT, MoF, and other central ministries relevant to Company's business interests.
- Lead regulatory advocacy and represent the Group in policy forums, parliamentary consultations, and inter-ministerial committees.
- Monitor policy and legislative developments impacting solar manufacturing, EPC, BESS, and Green Hydrogen; translate risks into actionable briefs for leadership.
- Engage proactively with state governments on land, PPA, and grid-connectivity matters to facilitate project clearances.
2. Public Affairs & Industry Engagement
- Represent Company's at industry bodies such as ISMA, FICCI, CII, and ASSOCHAM; drive thought leadership and coalition-building on clean energy policy.
- Develop and execute a structured stakeholder engagement calendar for Chairman and MD-level interactions.
- Lead positioning efforts at national conferences, Budget consultations, and renewable energy summits.
3. Compliance, Licensing & Secretarial Liaison
- Oversee compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements across business verticals; coordinate with legal and secretarial teams.
- Manage liaison with statutory bodies, autonomous regulators (CERC, SERC), and sector-specific agencies.
- Ensure timely filing of representations, responses to show-cause notices, and regulatory submissions.
4. Crisis & Reputation Management
- Develop early-warning systems for regulatory, reputational, or political risks affecting Company's Group entities.
- Lead crisis communications from a policy and government affairs standpoint in coordination with the Corporate Communications team.
- Manage sensitive stakeholder situations with discretion, ensuring leadership is briefed and prepared.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Build and lead the Corporate Affairs function, establishing processes, talent, and institutional knowledge.
- Partner with the Chairman's office, CFO, and business heads to align corporate affairs strategy with Group objectives.
- Mentor senior managers and develop a high-performance team capable of handling multi-state and national advocacy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- LLB / MBA (Public Policy / Management); LLM or PG Diploma in Corporate Law preferred.
- 20-25 years of corporate affairs, government relations, or public policy experience; proven track record in a large listed conglomerate or renewable energy company.
- Deep network within Central Government ministries (MNRE, MoP, DPIIT), regulatory bodies (CERC, SERC), and industry associations; strong understanding of India's clean energy policy framework.
- Demonstrated ability to lead senior-level negotiations, manage reputational risk, and operate effectively at the Chairman / Board interface.
