Our client, a global financial institution, is looking to hire a Vice President - Treasury COO professional to join their Treasury Operations team in Bangalore / Chennai. This role will play a key part in shaping the Treasury of the Future by enhancing operational resilience, optimizing costs, and building strong institutional capabilities across people, processes, and technology.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Drive cost management excellence by implementing strategies to optimize spending and streamline operations.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to lead strategic workforce planning, building a lean, resilient Treasury team.
- Implement people's upskilling strategies and support organizational design around skills and agility.
- Lead process automation initiatives (e.g., Python, data tools) to eliminate manual effort and reduce risk.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks while preparing for audits and reviews.
- Foster a Treasury culture that emphasizes data, diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Required 8-12 years' experience in Financial Services (Treasury, COO functions, HR strategy, or process re-engineering).
- A strong background in Treasury, COO, or Financial Services operations, with a focus on people, processes, and cost management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with proven leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Treasury / ALM / Balance Sheet management preferred.
- A track record of driving process improvement, risk reduction, and efficiency gains in complex environments.
- Passion for fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, learning, and wellbeing.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
