Role Overview:

A leading global Manufacturing Group is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to head the finance function for its Mexico operations. The incumbent will act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and leadership team while driving financial governance, profitability, treasury, working capital, and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in large manufacturing environments, preferably from any manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership:

- Lead the end-to-end Finance & Accounts function for Mexico operations.

- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning.

- Provide strategic insights to support growth, profitability, and investment decisions.

Manufacturing Finance & Plant Controlling:

- Partner closely with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and commercial teams.

- Drive plant-level profitability and cost optimization initiatives.

- Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs including:

o COGS

o Conversion Cost

o Yield Improvement

o Waste Reduction

o OEE

o Inventory Turns

o Capacity Utilization

- Establish robust product costing and margin analysis systems.

Treasury & Working Capital

- Manage banking relationships and funding requirements.

- Drive cash flow optimization and liquidity management.

- Improve working capital metrics through inventory, receivables, and payables management.

- Lead treasury operations including FX exposure management and risk mitigation.

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.

- Lead internal and external audits.

- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.

- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Group reporting standards.

Business Partnering

- Support business leadership on strategic initiatives and capital allocation decisions.

- Evaluate expansion projects, capex investments, and business cases.

- Provide commercial finance support for pricing and profitability improvement initiatives.

- Drive data-based decision-making across functions.

Team Leadership

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance organization.

- Develop strong succession planning and capability-building programs.

- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Transformation & Systems

- Drive ERP optimization and finance automation initiatives.

- Enhance financial visibility through dashboards and management reporting.

- Lead process improvement and digitization projects.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

- CA / CPA / ACCA

Experience

- 20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.

- Experience in large manufacturing organizations with revenues exceeding USD 200M+.

- Strong exposure to:

o Accounting & Financial Reporting

o Treasury & Cash Management

o Working Capital Optimization

o Manufacturing Finance

o Costing & Plant Controlling

o Compliance & Governance

- Experience managing multi-location and cross-functional teams.

- International exposure preferred.

- Manufacturing Industry background strongly preferred.
