Role Overview

We are hiring a Vice President - Category to lead end-to-end category strategy, combining brand building, product innovation, and revenue ownership.

This role sits at the intersection of consumer insight, product development, and marketing, and will be responsible for scaling categories through strong positioning, differentiated products, and high-impact communication.

The mandate is to build and grow categories as independent business units, with clear accountability on both brand equity and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Ownership

- Drive category P&L with complete ownership of growth and profitability

- Build long-term category strategy, expansion roadmap, and portfolio mix

- Identify unmet consumer needs, whitespace opportunities, and growth levers.

Product & Innovation (NPD)

- Lead new product development from insight to launch and scale

- Convert consumer understanding into meaningful product innovation

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure speed and quality of execution

- Establish clear product differentiation across formulation, design, and positioning.

Brand & Communication Leadership


- Define and evolve brand and category narratives

- Lead communication strategy across digital, performance, and offline channels

- Ensure consistency and clarity of messaging across all consumer touchpoints

- Go-To-Market & Product Storytelling

- Own product positioning, messaging, and launch strategy

- Craft compelling product stories that drive conversion and recall

- Align communication across platforms including marketplace, website, and campaigns.

Insights & Market Understanding

- Leverage data, consumer insights, and trends to inform decisions

- Track competition, pricing, and category evolution

- Use insights to continuously refine product and communication strategies.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

- Partner with Product, Growth, Creative, Sales, and Supply teams

- Work closely with leadership on strategic direction and priorities

- Ensure alignment between innovation, brand, and business outcomes.

Experience

- 4-5 years of experience in Category / Brand / Marketing roles

- Strong exposure to consumer businesses (Beauty, Personal Care, FMCG, D2C)

- Demonstrated success in launching and scaling products/categories

- Strong grasp of consumer behavior, branding, and product strategy

- Commercial mindset with understanding of revenue and margins

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
