Vice President - Business Legal - BFSI - LLB/LLM

Main Responsibilities:

- Check and approve property documents that are given as collateral for home loans to ensure everything is legally valid.

- Review loan cases (both for individuals and builders) and identify any legal risks or exceptions.

- Give legal advice to the company's teams about laws, risks, and compliance requirements.

- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and guide the company accordingly.

- Work with Sales, Credit, and other teams to help them understand and follow legal processes.

- Create and update legal policies and templates for different types of loans.

- Do sample checks of disbursed loans and handle audit-related questions.

- Manage and monitor a network of external lawyers who support the company.

- Support customer grievance resolution and ensure all branches follow proper legal procedures.

- Lead and mentor the internal legal team.

Experience & Qualification:

- 15+ years of experience, mainly in legal work related to lending or housing finance.

- Law degree (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.

- Experience in a housing finance company (HFC) is preferred.
