About the Role:
The VP of Business Development - GUN & EV Charger will lead the complete sales and business development function for the EV Guns and Chargers segment. This role is responsible for shaping the business growth strategy, expanding market presence, nurturing long-term customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue and profitability. The position requires strong leadership skills, deep industry understanding, and the ability to steer cross-functional alignment to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans aligned with company goals.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability for the EV product line across 2W, 3W, and 4W segments.
-Identify long-term business opportunities and create actionable roadmaps for market expansion.
- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and partnership avenues to increase market penetration.
- Explore opportunities in both domestic and emerging markets to strengthen brand presence.
- Lead business negotiations with high-value prospects and stakeholders.
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards to ensure consistent delivery.
- Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented work culture.
Key Account & Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with OEMs, distributors, and channel partners.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and effective issue resolution.
- Act as the senior point of contact for major accounts and strategic partners.
Sales Forecasting, Planning & Reporting:
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for senior leadership.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, challenges, and improvement areas.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.
Market & Industry Analysis:
- Monitor competitor activities, regulatory developments, and emerging industry trends.
- Evaluate customer needs and market shifts to position the EV Gun & Charger portfolio competitively.
- Recommend strategic adjustments to maintain strong market positioning.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment of customer commitments.
- Support product development with market insights, customer feedback, and competitor benchmarks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in the EV ecosystem, particularly with EV chargers/GUNs or related automotive products.
- Strong background in Automotive OEM Sales.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage large teams and drive performance in a dynamic, competitive market.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives.
