Role Overview
This is a leadership role within a rapidly growing D2C brand in the beauty and personal care space, responsible for driving category performance through a combination of brand building, product innovation, and commercial ownership.
The role requires someone who can translate consumer understanding into strong products and clear brand narratives, while owning growth outcomes across the category lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Direction & Communication:
- Set the overall direction for brand positioning and messaging across categories
- Oversee execution of communication across digital, performance, and offline channels
- Ensure a consistent and differentiated brand voice across all consumer touchpoints
Category Management:
- Take ownership of category performance, including revenue and profitability
- Build and execute short- and long-term growth plans
- Identify gaps in the portfolio and opportunities for expansion
Product Development:
- Drive the creation and launch of new products from idea to market
- Convert consumer insights into relevant and scalable offerings
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver products aligned with quality, cost, and timelines
- Focus on building meaningful differentiation across product and packaging
Go-to-Market & Product Messaging:
- Develop product positioning and define key selling points
- Plan and execute product launches across channels
- Ensure clarity and consistency in how products are presented across platforms
Insights & Market Tracking:
- Stay updated on consumer behavior, category shifts, and competitive activity
- Use data and research inputs to refine product and brand strategies
- Support decision-making with structured analysis
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales, and supply chain teams
- Partner with founders and leadership on key business priorities
- Ensure alignment between brand, product, and revenue goals
Candidate Profile
- 4-5 years of experience in brand, marketing, or category-focused roles
- Prior experience in beauty, personal care, or FMCG environments
- Hands-on experience in launching and scaling products
- Strong understanding of both brand building and commercial drivers
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving setups with high ownership
- Ability to think clearly, prioritize effectively, and drive execution
