Position Details:

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Operations & Maintenance leader to drive large-scale industrial services and maintenance operations across strategic client accounts in Oil & Gas, Metals, and emerging CBG (Compressed Bio Gas) sectors. The role will be responsible for managing multi-site O&M businesses with marquee customers and other industrial clients.

The incumbent will lead execution excellence, client engagement, P&L delivery, manpower deployment, safety, and growth initiatives across operations. This role is positioned one level below the Business Head and will play a critical role in scaling the Services business across India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end O&M operations for Oil & Gas facilities, Metals plants, and CBG projects across multiple client locations.

- Ensure high equipment uptime, operational efficiency, maintenance planning, and SLA adherence.

- Drive execution of annual maintenance contracts (AMC), shutdown maintenance, turnaround projects, and reliability programs.

- Manage multi-location site teams including Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and HSE personnel.

- Develop operational KPIs and monitor productivity, cost efficiency, and contract profitability.

- Act as the primary interface for key accounts including Reliance, HPCL, Vedanta/Sterlite and other industrial customers.

- Build strong relationships with plant heads, maintenance heads, procurement teams, and project stakeholders.

- Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely execution, responsiveness, and operational excellence.

- Identify cross-selling and business expansion opportunities within existing accounts.

- Support business growth through participation in technical discussions, proposal reviews, techno-commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.

- Drive revenue growth and margin improvement across O&M portfolios.

- Monitor budgeting, billing, collections, and overall P&L performance for managed accounts.

- Contribute to expansion into new sectors including CBG, renewable industrial utilities, and process industries.

- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards, statutory regulations, and client safety protocols.

- Promote a strong safety culture across all sites.

- Lead audits, incident investigations, CAPA implementation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of engineers, site managers, supervisors, and technicians.

- Drive workforce planning, capability development, succession planning, and performance management.

- Build a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and customer orientation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Instrumentation Engineering.

- MBA/PGDM preferred.

Experience:

- Around 20 years of experience in Industrial O&M, Plant Maintenance, Shutdowns, or Technical Services.

- Strong exposure to Oil & Gas operations is mandatory.

- Experience handling Metals/Smelting operations and/or CBG plants will be an added advantage.

- Proven experience managing large industrial accounts and multi-site operations.
