Position VP/AVP - IT Digital

Role & Responsibilities

Key highlights of the role are listed below (purely indicative and not limiting):

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the digital technology strategy and execution to drive innovation, enhance customer experiences, and ensure operational efficiency across our digital platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and operations to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and drive business growth.:

- Digital Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital technology strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage in the digital space.

- Digital Product Development: Lead the development of digital products and solutions, including mobile apps, web portals, digital wallets, and other digital channels. Define product requirements, prioritize features, and oversee the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.

- Customer Experience Enhancement: Drive enhancements to the digital customer experience by leveraging technology to personalize interactions, streamline processes, and deliver seamless omnichannel experiences. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

- Technology Architecture and Infrastructure: Define and maintain the digital technology architecture and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of digital platforms. Evaluate and implement appropriate technology solutions to support business growth and innovation.

- Data Analytics and Insights: Utilize data analytics and insights to inform decision-making and optimize digital experiences. Partner with data scientists and analysts to leverage customer data for personalization, targeting, and predictive modeling.

- Cybersecurity and Compliance: Establish and enforce cybersecurity best practices to protect customer data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement robust security measures and protocols to safeguard digital assets against cyber threats.

- Team Leadership and Talent Development: Build and lead a high-performing digital technology team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and mentorship to team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external technology vendors, including software providers, consulting firms, and technology partners. Evaluate vendor capabilities, negotiate contracts, and ensure vendor performance meets expectations.

Job specific skills Applicants should possess the following attributes:

- Strong understanding of digital technologies, including mobile development, cloud computing, APIs, middleware such as Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and data analytics.

- Demonstrated track record of leading digital product development initiatives from concept to launch, with a focus on customer experience and business outcomes.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams.

- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, regulatory compliance requirements, and risk management frameworks.

- Experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in the digital space.

Educational Qualifications

- Any Graduate / Post Graduation / Professional Qualification

Minimum Experience

- 12+ Years with Graduation Qualification; 8+ Years with Post Graduate (Full Time)/professional qualification.

Location of posting

- Mumbai

The candidate may be deputed to work with the team(s) within the organization / parent organization / any subsidiary of the parent organization if and as deemed necessary. Candidate is liable to be transferred to any other location in India.
